We were delighted to see a Lucy's Warbler this morning in the willow trees behind our house. We first thought... oh look, our first Warbling Vireo of the season, but it sure is gray?. When we finally saw the rufous on the crown and upper tail coverts, we knew we had a new yard bird. We suppose it overshot Death Valley in the clouds last night.
