Some recent Amargosa Canyon birds include a Virginia's Warbler on May 12, Rose-breasted Grosbeak male on May 14, and lone Pine Siskin on May 14. We watched 4 coyote pups eat regurgitated rabbit from Mum, and a Gopher Snake hissed at us. Sidewinders are out in the mornings, and there are gigantic jumping spiders spinning silk freely yet somehow deliberately. I saw my first Willow Flycatcher of the season on May 15th, at China Ranch.
