Some of the special birds were Western Bluebird (2, male & juv-looking) with nesting material on the Telescope Peak Trail, 1/4 mile from trail head, Lawernce's Golfinch (male) at Mohagany Flat Campground, Broad-tailed Hummingbird (males) on the Wildrose Peak trail just up from the Charcoal Kilns, and a Western-type Flycatcher at the Oleander Picnic spot in lower Wildrose Canyon. The weekend also yeilded over 30 more species including Red Crossbill, Western Screech & Barn Owls.
