Red-necked Phalaropes at lake off of Riverside today

Three in juvenal plumage. They were white with black patch around the eye, dark crown continuing narrowly down the nape and neck to the dark back which had buffy-gold streaks across it. Bills were black and somewhat short. This new lake is from water-spreading and had ducks and a spotted sandpiper.
