Sighting

At the base of Pinyon Falls today, a very red Winter Wren foraged in the shrubs. The waterfall was pretty loud, so I could not hear the Wren. Much more audible was a Dipper, which put on a great show by working slowly up the entire (roughly 60' tall) partly frozen waterfall. The Winter Wren showed up three different times, once with a Townsends' Solitaire along for company. Worth freezing for.
