Sighting

The Mac was our FOS and one in Bishop too, sounds like they just got to town. The first year or first summer male Black-headed Grosbeak was amazingly plumaged with a orange supercilium, and an orange central crown stripe, bounded by two black lateral crown stripes. The breast was orange too with highlights of yellow. Somewhat tame as he sat in our birdbath drinking. Jim had heard him singing this morning in willowtree behind our fence. We had our first Spotted Sandpipers (3) at the Gorge Power plant last weekend (April 23) below Birchim.
