Sighting

Took a hike today through all of the riparian areas of Redding Canyon and then farther up the canyon. A singing Chipping Sparrow greeted me at the parking area. Other birds included Golden Eagle, Lesser Goldfinches, House Finches, Black-throated Sparrows, Yellow-rumped Warblers, Spotted Towhees, a single male Bullock's Oriole, Chukar, Wilson's Warblers, Black-headed Grosbeak, Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, Green-tailed Towhee, Brown-headed Cowbird, Rock Wrens and a Canyon Wren. Debby and Eileen were with me part of the time and saw many of these birds.
