Sighting

On 24 July a pair of Eared Grebes were nest building at Tinemaha Reservoir. The county has very few breeding records. An adult Solitary Sandpiper, First of Fall, was on Steward Lane, south of Big Pine, where the Owens River is flooded over the road. Two adult, alternate plumaged, Black Terns, First of Fall, were on a log at the north end of Tinemaha Reservoir.
