Just west of Shoshone Dr., on the trail past the "Pipe", feeding in a Russian Olive Tree on the berries, I had close looks at the scrub jay for a few minutes. Since there are two races possible, Pacific and Interior, I tried to see the marks for both immediately. While the bird was bright, I don't think it was as bright as Pacific,for example, in its white throat, medium gray cheeks and grayish belly, but I'm still not sure and hope others can see it too.
