In addition to the birds that we reported to Debby from Deep Springs, we also had a single Sage Thrasher running aside the road which I had the opportunity to photograph. The last stop before returning to LA was at the Fish Hatchery road (at the little bridge that goes over the creek) south of Big Pine, we had our first of the season and weekend immature White-crowned Sparrow. It appearead to have a dark lore (the head stripe didn't go beyond the eye, probably Oriantha) and the bill not very bright. Great weekend of birding! Mary & Nick, Glendale, CA
