When we moved to Orange County 40 years ago, the suburbs were full of Chinese Spotted Doves, and a few Band-tailed Pigeons could only be seen in the wild hills. When we left Orange County a few years ago, there was not a Chinese Spotted Dove to be seen, and the suburbs as well as the hills were filled with band-tailed pigeons.
