Amongst the many breeding plumaged ducks, two female-type Hooded Mergansers were spotted by Claus through the scope. We also had 5 Greater Yellowlegs and about 25 Dowitchers in Basic Plumage, by default Long-billed Dows. Still some water left for migrating shorebirds but it seems to be going down in level.
