Birds seen at South Lake (still iced) on Sunday 29 April: a kip-kipping male Red Crossbill, male and female Cassin's Finches, oriantha White-crowned's, American Robin, handsome male Audubon's Warblers. Alarmingly little snow and ground disturbingly dry with the bare bottom of South Lake soaking up the ultravoilet. Aspendell sizzled with Siskins, male Red-breasted Sapsucker, Pygmy Nuthatch, Cassin's Finches. Downright balmy.
