While doing the International Migratory Bird Day surveys, I came upon a Band-tailed Pigeon along North Round Valley Road in Round Valley. Coming from Bishop the bird was seen from the road, near the stand of willows that is after the sharp right-hand bend in the road (where South Round Valley road becomes North Round Valley Road). Across from this willow stand is a dry pasture with a power line running through the middle of it. The pasture with the willows has a ditch that runs along the north border of the pasture. The bird was in the locust trees that are directly adjacent to the road, and close to the ditch.
