Sighting

We found the Black Turnstone fairly soon after arriving at Owens Lake around 8 AM. It was in one of the large ponds just north of the Dirty Socks work area in the SE corner of the lakebed. We drove from Hwy 395, west side , onto the good roads heading toward the SE corner of lake and came across the bird with hundreds of phaloropes and avocets. Lots of other shorebirds to see too.
