Sighting

On 9/2/07 in Benton Hot Springs, we observed two LEWO, an adult and immature (HY, very grey on belly and face) on the hill above the lake alongside the road as you're entering BHS. They were foraging on the fence posts and "tool shed". At the "water lily pond" in BHS, we also observed a single American Bittern. A little late in reporting this but the possibility of having LEWO invading the coastal slope of Southern California this winter, is nice. Happy Birding! Mary & Nick Freeman, Glendale, CA
