A pale buteo sitting in willow west of Meadowcreek showing dark legs which form a "v" in flight and contrasting with a pale belly. This wintering hawk also had a pale unbanded tail indicating an adult. Pale windows in wings are also called "whitish primary panels" in Wheeler & Clark (1996). It was subsequently chased around by a Red-tailed Hawk and a pair of Common Ravens who have territories in this area.
