Sighting

Along Birch Creek SW of Big Pine, a pair of lazuli buntings this morning, the first of spring for me. Around midday, a Virginia warbler gleaning in willow along Tinemaha Creek upstream of junction of Birch Creek Rd. and Tinemaha Rd. Gray back with no hint of green in wings, gray head, obvious white eye-ring, yellow breast and yellow undertail coverts separated by white belly, yellow rump. No wing bars. Rufous patch on crown not visible.
