Sighting

Hi all, Sorry for this belated report and the others to follow, as well as for birds which might not be of great interest to the locals. On 4/28 there was an Osprey circling near Olancha. At Furnace Creek Ranch were two continuing Common Moorhens, 43 Wilson's Phalaropes, a female Bufflehead, a female Greater Scaup, a female Common Goldeneye, Sora, Virginia Rail, Belted Kingfisher, a male Ring-necked Duck, and a Bank Swallow. At Tecopa were a singing Savannah Sparrow, 4 Long-billed Curlews, a Marbled Godwit, a Bufflehead, and a male Red-breasted Merganser. Along Old Spanish Trail were numerous Bell's Vireos and Lucy's Warblers. At China Ranch were an Olive-sided Flycatcher, a Lewis's Woodpecker, Calliope Hummingbird, Lucy's Warblers, Bell's Vireos and a Crissal Thrasher. Steve Glover Dublin, CA
