Hi Steve. I noticed your report from China Ranch of the Western Screech Owl. Our friend Paul Weers and his visiting brother and wife from the Netherlands heard a Western Screech calling sometime Saturday night, 5/3 as they camped in the Tee Pee outside of the B&B. Twice I tried calling in this owl during our stays at the B&B last year but to no avail. Glad to know this owl was found. Happy Birding! Mary & Nick Freeman, Glendale, CA
