High School Senior Scholarship Program

This year the Eastern Sierra Audubon Society (ESAS) will award up to two $500 scholarships to Mono County or Inyo County graduating seniors whose future studies, current and future volunteer work, and career ambitions will promote our organization’s mission. This may take the form of art, science, education, advocacy, habitat conservation, journalism, literature, law, public policy, environmental justice, outdoor recreation or other related field. A history of volunteer work is a plus, but not a requirement. Qualified applicants are required to attend college (including vocational, alternative, specialized, and 2- or 4-year colleges) full-time starting in Fall 2024.

The mission of the National Audubon Society is:

“To conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife and their habitats, for the benefit of humanity and the earth’s biological diversity.”

The winner will be announced in May and their name and selected essay may be published in ESAS’s Sierra Wave Newsletter.
