Today, 25 Apr, one adult Franklin's Gull was found by Carolyn Gann in a flooded pasture in Big Pine at the same time that Tom Heindel was looking at two adults at nearby Klondike Lake. The Big Pine bird took off and flew north. Those birders to the north should keep an eye out as they might see all three at the same time. Check for the white "bracelets" separating the black wingtips from the gray wings as seen from above as well as the black head, broken white eye arcs and red bill with black at the tip. These birds are rare enough to require documentation from any and all who see them. Good gulling.
