The south-east pond at the water treatment plant in Bishop is drying up quite nicely these days. Today I saw among many others a Common Snipe, Long Billed Dowitchers, Least, Western, Spotted, Solitary and possibly Baird's Sandpipers, Samipalmated Plovers, Wilson's Phalaropes,White Face Ibis, Black Tern, Bank, Rough Wing, Tree, Barn, and Cliff Swallows. Also I saw two ducks that I could not identify, they looked most like Northern Pintails because of the chocolatey color of the head and the light breast.
