Forgot to mention in my last message... There was a Barn Owl roosting in a building (by the old outhouse) at the Dechambeau ranch on friday. It flushed into the cottonwoods. I know there are not many records for the mono basin. I wonder what their status here is (a migrant, I suppose). Have fun, K
