Rick, here in Independence we experienced a similar, and welcome, fall out of hummers from the big windstorm of 15Arpil02. We didja one better, though, with five species: Costa, Calliope, Rufous, Black-chinned, and Annas. About 20 hummers total. We tried to make some Broad-tailed females out of the miscellany, but they wouldn't hold still enough. If anybody has a tried-and-true method for separating female Rufous from female Broad-tailed, I'd like to hear from you, s'il vous plait.
