many colorful birds in mammoth...most at my feeders or nearby. red breasted sapsuckers were very active. red-shafted flicker was at the feeder and then hopped down a 50 ft pathway to the creek. and then a california quail. solo. i didn't think that this species was in the sirra (altitude of 8000 ft)? then, at dusk on the lower owens river were many common nighthawks.
