Description

A singing Willow Flycatcher was found 1/2 mile north of Tinemaha Reservoir along the Owens River. Migrants should be through by this date but further checking is required to establish territoriality and breeding. South bound shorebirds at Tinemaha Reservoir were the southern nesting species: 14 Black-necked Stilts, 38 American Avocets, 3 Willets, 1 Long-billed Curlew, and 16 Wilson's Phalaropes that were mostly (all?) females.
