Jon Dunn was stunned at finding a female Audubon's Warbler at Furnace Creek Ranch 29 Jun along with Chris Howard and Rosie Beach. The local or regional fires could be responsible as well as the non-breeding wanderer syndrome that occurs. In other words, it's anybody's guess to explain some of these intriguing birding events.
