A female Ring-necked Duck with an indistinct pale ring around her bill is at the park. This species is seldom seen in July. The Summer Tanager that Debby Parker and Barb Toth found yesterday is remaining in the same area and continues to call. We had exceptionally good views, she was low and remained in view for many minutes, and allowed us to determine that it is an adult female based on the very highly worn tail feathers. An immature would have very unworn feathers because they are only a couple of months old at the most.
