Today, 2 August, Leah and I had a Wrentit respond to a tape at the Western edge of the upper riparian area. In another location a Ladder-backed Woodpecker also responded and gave us great looks. We also saw a beautiful male Blue Grosbeak,50 or more Phainopepla and a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher feeding a begging cowbird.
