Sat. we had a bright Townsend's warbler in the cottonwoods at Mill Pond snack shack. Then the next day, a Townsend's/Hermit warbler showed up while birding in Rovana with Jon D., who helped us sort out its hybrid characteristics. Earlier in day, we had female Taiga race and Richardsonia race of Merlins in same area of Fish Slough. Photographed the female thru the scope! Also at Rovana was a male Anna's Hummer at a feeder and up the canyon we had a Striped Whiptail snake chasing a lizard up a stump! Reading in the field guide this is one of their main foods. This gorgeous snake was coral under the tip of its "whip tail".
