Description

While walking the Rush Creek bottomlands (6500' down) I detected a few birds that have been hard to come by up here. An Orange-crowned Warbler, a Hermit Thrush, 3 Common Yellowthroats. At the Rush Creek Delta, Ring-billed Gulls outnumbered California Gulls (4:1) for the first time I've seen. On my walk back I noticed a late Sage Sparrow, and a flock of 191 Pinyon Jays.
