The adult male richardsonii race of merlin was hunting west of Meadowcreek ysterday. This is prob the same bird seen last Sat. on CBC. Late in afternoon a Prairie Falcon went by low over rabbitbrush at 75 mph, and then swooped up into a tree. The dark axillaries were seen, all brown back and face pattern. Pointed wings of a falcon. The field has a large flock of YRWA,BUTI and some AMPI, which seem to be feeding in the rabbitbrush.
