An adult Bald Eagle was seen from hwy 395 near Crowley Reservoir. It's pretty rare to see a Bald Eagle in the Eastern Sierra in the summer. In Inyo, the late date is 28 May (Heindel Graphs) and for Mono, the David Gaines book reports only three June/July records. However, Bartshe Miller posted a sighting from last week on hwy 158 near the Boulder Lodge to Mono Basin Birds. It would be cool if Bald Eagles started nesting around here. -C/R
