Description

On a trip up Chimney Peak Rd., we saw PLUMBEOUS VIREO (Bob Power, Oakland) at the Chimney Peak Campground. An adult male and two juvenile RED CROSSBILLS were seen at Troy Meadow, as was a stunning male MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRD. CALLIOPE HUMMERS continue to be common at the Black Rock Ranger Sation feeders. They are mostly females, but the cinnamon-buffy sides are diagnostic. These areas are just west of Inyo County. Michael McQuerrey kerncobirding moderator Bakersfield, California
