Just returned from Nik-n-Nik ponds where I spotted a Common Tern (black bill, legs, gray upper wings with black edge along wing tips/primaries). It hung around for quite some time repeatedly plunging in to the pond south of the road and catching insects right above the pond surface. Other birds spotted this evening inlcuded 2 snow egrets, 1 great egret, numerous Canada Geese, and what appeared to be Northern Shovelers based on bill shape (was getting too dark by then!).
