On 19 Sep Jon found a female Acorn Woodpecker at Deep Springs for only the fourth record there. The other records were in 1974, 1984, and 1990. Jo found a Golden-crowned Sparrow at Tollhouse and another was at Deep Springs which are the First of Fall reports of which we are aware. And speaking of Mountain Chickadees there were 4 at Deep Springs which adds to the body of information that these mountains birds are moving.
