I thought it was interesting to see about a hundred of these birds just below the top of Mt. Whitney the other day. They flew over and landed nearby as a flock as we were finishing the East Buttress climbing route. Much more interesting than the hoards of tame marmots and altitude sick hikers usually seen on top.
