This female Rough-legged Hawk was found injured on a road near Benton a week ago. It's been receiving excellent care at Eastern Sierra Wildlife Care by Cindy Kamler. Cindy says her eye injury is healing and she will be released soon.

The interesting-colored scaup is still hanging out at the Bishop City Park. We suppose it's a female Lesser Scaup, judging by the peaked head behind the eye and narrow nail at the tip of the bill.  (Even though she's missing most pigmentation, we still think she looks dapper.)
