On 24 March 2 female-type Red-breasted Mergansers were at Klondike Lake for First of Spring sighting when they are rare. The big return is in early April so these two are only a week ahead of the masses. Two Cassin's Finches, adult male and female-type, were at the feeders in Big Pine this morning.
