On 7 July, an immature Brown Pelican was found sitting in with 29 White Pelicans at Tinemaha Reservoir. This bird was first posted on Calbirds on 1 July by Brad Schram when he saw it flying by Owens Lake heading north. Brad recognized it as a "rare bird in Inyo" but it is rarer than rare. This is the first time this species has ever been recorded in the County!
