Yesterday, the 25th I birded Dechambeau Ponds. I flushed a Sora from the middle pond, and there was a Marsh Wren at each of the northern-most two ponds. I'm not sure if the Sora is of interest at this time of year, but I was suprised to see it. At County Ponds I had three Long-billed Dowitchers and one Ibis, which was too far for me to ID definitively with just my bins. At Mono County Park I heard a calling Grackle, but couldn't find it to determine it's sex. At Lee Vining Creek mouth were several thousand Phalaropes, with about a 60-40 ratio of Red-necked to Wilson's.
