The past two weeks have been amazing as female-type Rufous/Allen's have peaked and Black-chins seem to be re-peaking. Those make up our bread-and-butter, and have recently been spiced up with an immature male Costa's and female-type Anna's. This evening, though, our first Callipe of fall, a female-type, braved the buzzing masses. 25 or so hummingbirds buzzing around is an amazing spectacle...one to recollect this winter!
