Sighting

Sorry for the delayed post: Saturday 8/21: 1 Solitary Sandpiper observed during shorebird census of Mono Lake. Unfortunately, it was observed in a difficult to reach area between County Park and the Old Marina. A Spotted Sandpiper landed next to the Solitary, allowing for a nice comparison. 8/22 County Pond: 1 Solitary Sandpiper observed at the County Pond, roosting by itself. Also observed by River Gates, and Chris McCreedy. We had gone to De Chambeau (I do not know how to spell this) ponds to try to find an Eastern Kingbird that was observed by a group led by Rich Stallcup there on 8/21, but we could not find it. Keep your eyes peeled.
