Red-breasted Nuthatch - Paradise; Pine Siskins lots of places

Sighting

This morning there was a Red-breasted Nuthatch at my house in Paradise. This is the first one I have ever seen in Paradise in my short 4 years there. Also had Pine Siskins last weekend which, while they have shown up the last 4 winters, this is certainly the earliest I have seen them. Also had siskins in 40 acres, and down in Owens Valley east of Independence.
