The large Canada Goose at Bishop City Park is banded and its number was turned in to the USGS on 17 Nov 04. The following information was sent back by the USGS: Band No. 0868-52185 was placed on a female on 30 May 1997, 11 miles S of Sunnyside, NV (140 miles due N of Las Vegas & 190 miles ENE of Bishop). She was an After Hatching Year bird meaning that she was hatched in 1996 or earlier. This makes her at least 8 years old. We will contact the bander but based on date and location of the banding and the size of the bird this is probably a "moffitti."
