I birded Owen's and Diaz Lakes in the lovely breeze this morning. Yep, I'm getting sick of the wind. Owen's Lake had thousands of avocets, but not many other shorebirds. I did see my FOS Brewer's Sparrows there as well. Diaz Lake seemed to be in some sort of magical wind free zone and there were quite a few migrants. My best birds were Warbling Vireo, BTG Warbler, and RB Sapsucker.
