Sighting

It flew up and down the Amargosa Canyon all morning, calling. I know nothing about Green Herons, but it was beautiful and raucous, if not territorial. Brown-headed Cowbirds (just males) were territorial for the first time today, but no parasitized nests yet. There were incredible hanging honeycombs on the cliff walls of what I hope were not killer bees. It was eerie walking beneath them, getting nervous about trying not to be nervous as they hummed overhead. There was a Warbling Vireo singing at China Ranch.
