On Saturday November 12th, in the morning, in southern Fish Lake Valley we saw 4 Ferruginous Hawks along with an American Kestrel and a Northern Harrier all in one large field. In the afternoon in Hammil Valley on highway 6, along a 6 mile stretch on telephone pole facing east we counted 12 hawks all of the same species. They appeared to be Ferruginous Hawks, but without a spotting scope and without them flying, there was no way to make a good identification. They were all amazingly similar and surprisingly close together.
