Gave generous looks from less than 15', very vocal as well (it's a wren, after all...). Seems to hang out about a half mile up the canyon, near the lower end of the grove of cottonwood trees. This is Marble Canyon, near Bishop on the west side of the White Mountains. 2wd high clearance to parking area where Black Canyon and Marble join.
